Onboard Game+Gastro Pub in Circuit Makati

at
onboard-gamegastro-pub

Gaming restaurants have been trending in Manila. When I found out from my sister that we have one near our place, I was very excited to try it out! I only discovered Onboard Game+Gastro Pub last January, but it instantly became one of my favorite places!

The Food

One thing I really like about Onboard Game+Gastro Pub is their menu. They have a lot of food choices including appetizers, snacks, meals, and desserts. They also make amazing milkshakes!

The first time we went there, we just had lunch at home so we only tried their milkshakes and some desserts.

onboard-9

Triple Chocolate Milkshake – Php 170

This drink was YUMMY! I’m not a huge fan of anything chocolate-flavored (unless it’s dark), but it’s sweetness is just right for me.

onboard-5

Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake – Php 200

We think this is legit! We are a huge fan of Blueberry Cheesecake, so we’re really  meticulous. We loved it so much, it’s one of our staple orders whenever we go there.

onboard-3

Red Velvet Brownie Cake – Php 180

I love that this Red Velvet Brownie Cake was served in a warm iron pan. It balances the coldness of the ice cream, so it’s warm and cold at the same time. It’s an amazing feel for the palate! I wish it had some cream cheese though.

onboard-11

Cookie Dunks – PHp 175

These are tiny white and dark chocolate cookies that you can “dunk” on milk shots. They are super cute, and very popular with the kids!

Super cute milk shots! <3

The Ambiance

onboard-1

The outside highlights the bar side of the pub. Despite this, I swear that the ambiance inside is really child-friendly 🙂

onboard-8

The collection of board games. They have 2 shelves, one on each side of the room. Their game curators are very nice and helpful. They are also very patient in explaining the games – super helpful for those who are lazy to read. ME!

They have a vast collection so you can try as much as you want. They also have age-appropriate games, so we were able to grab some that the little one can enjoy.

onboard-4

Game of Life, my favorite game!

onboard-6

Oops, son. Not this game!

onboard-7

Kids! Not this game!

onboard-2

Finally, something kid friendly!

What I liked

  • Great food! I super love the milkshakes!
  • Family-friendly ambiance, even for a pub
  • Vast choices for food and games
  • They accept reservations!

They’re currently accepting cash only, though they told us that they’re working on having card options. I also wished they had more coffee choices as the current menu only has brewed coffee.

Am I eating here again? YES!

Onboard Game+Gastro Pub is now our go-to place for awesome fun and great food. I loved them so much that I keep on inviting my family and friends here! It’s definitely the perfect place for family time or barkada bonding.

What do you think of Onboard Game+Gastro Pub? Let me know in the comments. 😉

Enjoy life. Cheers!

Wow trending na talaga ang mga board game inspired cafe/restaurant. Looking at them kasi makes you feel homey which is a really big factor for clients. I will definitely try them out on my next date with the hubby. 🙂

Yes, and it’s super fun! Kids today are not use to board games the way we used to be. It’s a great way for them to learn to socialize without a screen 🙂

If you love milkshakes, the have better ones that are filled with so much toppings, they can be classified as a dessert :))

Walking distance! We went here a few times before but it was always full considering it was still on soft opening then. Imagine, Circuit is not even fully open but the crowd’s there. 🙂 We’ll have to drop by again to satisfy the sweet tooth in me.

The food and drinks look so yum! Kaso it’s in Makati, which is too far from where I live. Sayang 🙁

Sayang nga. I can totally vouch for the food! Which reminds me, I should do a follow up post with the other food items I’ve tried 😛

They have other milkshakes (I forgot what they call it) which look like dessert na because of a lot of toppings. <3

That place looks great. I’m jealous. Do you pay a cover to play, or do you just play while you eat/drink?

    27 . Mar . 2016
    • ninasogue

Thanks for visiting my site 🙂 the only thing that they ask for is that everyone orders something from the menu, so no additional fee to play. For me, it’s a good deal since they have great food. One proof that their menu is good is that my mom would invite us here just to dine. The board games are not her main agenda. 😛

And I thought that photo you have on your blog was shot sa snacks and ladder in maginhawa. It’s a totally different gaming cafe pala but they have the same shelf where board games are neatly arranged. Snacks and ladder does not have game against humanity though. I want I go there with my boys. The last time we spent our Saturday at snacks and ladder, umuwi Na Kami ng mag 12 mn Na ata. Ihihi

I haven’t been to snacks and ladders. Or maginhawa. Haha. Though I’ve been planning to for the longest time 🙁 I’m not sure about snacks and ladders, but the food in Onboard is very good. Even my picky toddler becomes easy to feed – he loves the tapa bowl. And I’ve said this in the post but I’ll say it again, they make amazing milkshakes! ❤️ super fan. Haha!

Seems Onboard has a wider variety of food. And yes, when Onboard, we will try the milkshake.
