Love shouldn’t hurt
Love should feel safe. A person who loves is a person who accepts. All conditions, all circumstances, and all forms. All of me. All of you. No ifs and no buts.
Love should be nourishing. A person who loves is a person who cares. One who respects, understands, and encourages. It should feel safe, amongst other things.
Love should be patient. Love that is given shouldn’t feel circumstantial. You care because you do. Not because I care for you.
Love is unbounded. It can be unwritten, but it can be seen. It can be unlabeled, but it can be felt. I love you because, not I love you until.
Love should be beautiful. Love is love. But most importantly, love shouldn’t hurt.
