Don’t feel blue
My mood in the morning (or when I dress up) greatly affects my look for the day.
Most of the time, I just do a “guy decision” and just grab the first thing on top of my pile. But that shouldn’t stop a person from looking good, right?
So today, I write about my favorite blue dress!
It’s my favorite because it never fails to pick my mood up. It fits well, it looks pretty, and it is perfect for any kind of weather (for a tropical country, I suppose).
If you’ve been following my Instragram account, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of this:
So, I bought this dress about 2 years ago. I loved how it look like, but the length is not-for-work, soI decided to have it altered. Added 3-inches in the length, and ta-da!
I also commute to work (tricycle & jeepney) so I’m very concerned about the length of my clothes.
I usually wear a black coat or a white cardigan over this. I am always VERY conscious about my arms. 🙁
But as of doing my test shots, I realized that I don’t look that chubby (ouch!) in photos, so I didn’t wear them anymore.
I’m not sure if it’s circumstantial, but I actually gained confidence ever since I’ve started posting outfit photos.
I used to be really conscious about my body and how I look like. By seeing that I look better in photos (compared to how I see myself), I realized that maybe this is what others are seeing. That I really look better than how I see myself.
Honestly, I just want to be an inspiration to others. Looking good is NOT dependent on the price tags or brands of what you wear, nor your body size.
I would still like to lose a little bit of weight, but hey, I love my body now as it is now. Losing a bit of weight is just for health reasons.
So, what’s my takeaway?
No matter what your size or your wealth is, don’t be blue. Believe that you look good, and the world will believe it too.
Enjoy life. Cheers!
