Don’t feel blue

at
dont-feel-blue-outfit

My mood in the morning (or when I dress up) greatly affects my look for the day.

Most of the time, I just do a “guy decision” and just grab the first thing on top of my pile. But that shouldn’t stop a person from looking good, right?

So today, I write about my favorite blue dress!

It’s my favorite because it never fails to pick my mood up. It fits well, it looks pretty, and it is perfect for any kind of weather (for a tropical country, I suppose).

If you’ve been following my Instragram account, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of this:

So, I bought this dress about 2 years ago. I loved how it look like, but the length is not-for-work, soI decided to have it altered. Added 3-inches in the length, and ta-da!

I also commute to work (tricycle & jeepney) so I’m very concerned about the length of my clothes.

I usually wear a black coat or a white cardigan over this. I am always VERY conscious about my arms. 🙁

But as of doing my test shots, I realized that I don’t look that chubby (ouch!) in photos, so I didn’t wear them anymore.

I’m not sure if it’s circumstantial, but I actually gained confidence ever since I’ve started posting outfit photos.

I used to be really conscious about my body and how I look like. By seeing that I look better in photos (compared to how I see myself), I realized that maybe this is what others are seeing. That I really look better than how I see myself.

Honestly, I just want to be an inspiration to others. Looking good is NOT dependent on the price tags or brands of what you wear, nor your body size.

IMG_1132I would still like to lose a little bit of weight, but hey, I love my body now as it is now. Losing a bit of weight is just for health reasons.

So, what’s my takeaway?

No matter what your size or your wealth is, don’t be blue. Believe that you look good, and the world will believe it too.

Enjoy life. Cheers!

Good to know that you stopped feeling too self-conscious about your body. That dress really looks nice on you. Sometimes our worst critics are really ourselves. 🙂

You look really pretty, not chubby at all! You’re spot on when you said posting OOTDs boosted your confidence — that’s how I felt before, too. (Wala nga lang akong mga bagong damit lately so walang pang-OOTD hahaha)

Thank you! I used to feel sad since I can’t buy branded clothes, but I realized that some affordable brands offer similar styles and qualities. So, why not? 😀

Thanks Nostalgic Momma! 🙂 I used to love neutral shades, but I recently realized that blue works well with my complexion. So more blue, it is! 🙂

I agree on it doesn’t depend on the price tag. 🙂 I buy clothes from ukay sometimes and they look fabulous.

You’re pretty, btw. All the more reason to love yourself. 🙂

I actually have a couple of items from ukay. If it’s taken care of, it doesn’t look like it came from ukay at all. Also, thank you for the compliment! 🙂

“Looking good is NOT dependent on the price tags or brands of what you wear, nor your body size.” – spot on! I used to buy branded clothes because I was conscious about what people will say but now I really don’t care in fact I like buying my clothes more on Tiangge and Divisoria they are way affordable and really nice! In terms of the body size, it’s just sad that nowadays they associate being beautiful and sexy with the figure but I totally disagree because it’s confidence that’s sexy and beautiful. Oh by the way the dress looks good on you 🙂 Cheers!

Thanks, Pearliza! 🙂 I haven’t been brand conscious because of funds, but I’m very picky on the choosing clothes that I can wear for a long time. I just recently discovered my love for certain brands, like Uniqlo, because of the fabric. Still, I try to be smart about the price. If it’s a bit expensive, it’s still a no. And yes, it’s sad that people nowadays really look at body size. Slowly, I’d like to be an influencer in helping change that 🙂
