Today, I will share with you a secret…

I have a video. On the internet. Because I uploaded one.

Exploring YouTube

I’ve always dreamed of having my own YouTube channel. I’m not really sure what stopped me from creating one before, but I’ve decided to make my dreams come true, and just make one. So, last week, I disregarded all of my self-doubts, and started to create my concept about it. And I’m happy that I did.

Thinking about what I wanted to share in my first video made me really excited. I was just planning to do the outline, but the next thing I knew, I was already practicing the script. And a few more tries after that, I felt like I was just sharing stories to my friends, and I couldn’t help but interject phrases and jokes that a “normal Nina” would do. Of course, it was a bit different when I started recording.

I’m still camera shy and a little bit awkward. Talking to a camera feels weird sometimes, but I really enjoyed conceptualizing, editing, and letting out my wacky self . It’s also more fun to make videos because I can be more natural. That said, I think I’ll be uploading more videos soon.

Realizations

Sometimes, we dream about doing a lot of things but we don’t actually do something about it. I am guilty of this because I always fear that I will fail. But isn’t doing anything at all the same as failing? Shouldn’t we be more active about chasing our dreams to ensure that we don’t fail at all?

My channel is still a work in progress. I’m still not sure yet what direction I will take my channel to, but it will surely be a complementary to my blog. Or it might be my main channel – I’m not sure. All I know is that I enjoyed doing this, and that is a step closer to finding out what else I can do and what else I am passionate about.

In case you’re curious, here’s my first YouTube video:

If you have thoughts about this post or what I can do next, do drop them in the comments below. I’m also planning on doing Q&A’s on my channel, so leave me questions below. <3

Enjoy life. Cheers!

~Nina

P.S. I’d appreciate likes, shares, or comments on my video too. And if you’re subscribing to my channel, let me know so I can subscribe back. 🙂

For a first time vlogger, you did great. Your energy and enthusiasm was pretty good and we can see that. There were minor things that you were checking your codigo and was left uncut from your video but that’s still forgivable. At the end of the video, you stopped smiling after you said goodbye. Always start strong and end strong. 🙂 Try doing a facebook live, that will work your confidence.

It’s a good job for a first video and you are cute! I think you did a better job that I do, I always feel so very awkward whenever I record myself on video (and I’m just talking about the IG stories here haha…). I think this is such a good venture for you and keep it up!

Congratulations. That’s a very good move you have taken. I am looking forward to seeing more of your vlogs. It actually takes a lot of courage and I am glad that you took that step 🙂

Congrats on finally choosing to pursue your dreams! I also have the same goals before but I never really got to go through with them. I’m really inspired by you! I have to also level up my game and be able to do things like these! I suggest you continue making youtube videos, I’m sure your fans and readers would like them! ❤️

Good on you! Doing something for the first time is always a little daunting but it gets a little easier each time and I’m sure that is what you will find with your videos. I think it was a great idea to practice before doing the shoot. All the best with this and no doubt you will be sharing many more videos in future.

Congratulations for your first video! You want to know a secret that I noticed with youtubers? The community is much like blogging. You need not only to want to make a video as a fleeting fancy, you need to have true passion for it. Take me, for example. I wanted to make videos, so I did. But then I got tired because I just didn’t feel like it. Unlike writing, which I really love to do. SO my only advice is this: try stuff for your channel. A LOT of stuff. You’ll soon get an idea that will work out and just click. and before you know it, you’re on your 1000th published video like Good Mythical Morning. 😀 Search them on YT if you haven’t- they’re AWESOME. and they jsut celebrated their 1000th video 🙂 good luck!

Wow! This is nice… glad you found a new niche in vlogging! I was having thoughts of planning to try out video blogging even one time. But i think that’s more complicated than writing. Plus, i think im not good at it. Camera shy ba?! Hahaha! Was wondering what application do you use in video editing? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Wow congratulations on having the courage to do this. I am sure your readers will enjoy your videos and the more you do it the more you will love it. I prefer to do the writing as I am too shy to post a video for now, hope one day I find the courage to do it.

Congratulations and welcome to the YouTube world! Vlogging is something that has been in my mind for a few times but I didn’t make that first step just yet. Videos are an incredibly interactive way of interacting with your audience, and it makes things so much personal in my opinion. I think having a good balance between videos and text is the approach I’d go for.

It’s great that you started vlogging. We do it as well. In the beginning we really had to get used to it. But now, we’re used to it even though we just made a few videos yet. We definitely go on. Just because it’s fun to do. Good luck with vlogging!

Wow congratulations! I love to set up a Youtube account too and make some interesting videos but unfortunately, I don’t have much time to do it. This post inspired me a lot though. Good luck on your video-making journey 🙂

Congratulations! Welcome to the world of vlogging. I am sure readers will love to see more of you. So please keep on coming out with new videos. You are doing fine and I suspect, you will love videos more than writing as it is easier to talk than to write. One thing to keep in mind, if you are embedding videos on post, have at least 300 words on the blog post. 🙂
