Choosing a Family Car?
*This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.*
Hello everyone! How are your New Year’s Resolution coming along? For me, I’ve never thought that I would say this, but January has past and I’m still on track! That’s a milestone for me, okay? As someone who is used to getting distracted in the middle of January, I’m really proud of myself.
To share, one of my goals for this year is to spend more time with my family. We do bond, every now and then, but we can’t really travel that much because we can’t fit in our current car. Makes me wonder – is it time to get a new family car? I’ve been looking at some options online and I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the available choices. *gulp*
So, let’s be objective, shall we? I thought of listing down some considerations that I should think of. If I still get confused – I’m pretty sure I’ll make a scorecard. But for now, here’s what I am thinking:
This is probably my number 1 consideration. We need one that would fit my mom, siblings, newphew, niece, and son. Okay, maybe throw in one or two more friends?
So, I didn’t know that they actually had car safety ratings until I did a search. I only know about the airbags. Anything else I should consider here?
Of course, you can’t buy one if it isn’t within your range.
Okay, this is probably a big thing for me *hides in shame*. To stop myself from hoarding a lot of things, one thing I recently learned is to only buy things that gives you joy. If it feels like “meh” and you don’t really need it, don’t buy it! So, yes – I’m putting it here.
Some things that are good to have! We used to have a car with a tv – it got sold a couple of years ago, but as kids, it was a way to keep us quiet. Not a bad thing since we’re travelling with kids!
I don’t know a lot about this, but my friends talked about engine power, gas consumption, and some other features. I only know about gas VS diesel when I overheard my parents before when they decided to get a car.
Anything else I am missing here? I am probably a months (or years) away from getting this, but I’d like to check on my options starting now.
If you’re getting yours now, check out this cars.com! Their site is pretty intuitive. Plus you can use their Price Comparison Tool – which is super cool!
